2. Can you update your personal information yourself?
Student contact information, class registration, and financial aid awards can be modified through sisweb.ucdavis.edu.
3. What campus and community services are covered by debit-card, smart-card, or one-card systems?
On campus, most student stores accept debit or credit cards. The use of your university ID or registration card (“reg card”) to pay for items is restricted to the UC Davis Bookstore, the Corral, and the Aggie Student Store. Registration fees are payable online through e-check only.
4. Are the school catalog (including course descriptions, degree requirements, and academic policies) and the schedule of classes for the quarter available on the Web?
The general catalog as well as the quarterly schedule of classes are available at registrar.ucdavis.edu.
Privacy, security, and usage rules
1. What security and privacy policies are in place to protect student information from identity theft?
No matter what your affiliation with the campus, your personal information resides on at least one campus computer system. The campus minimizes the number of systems on which personal information resides and mandates a high level of security on these systems. 2. Is network bandwidth limited for peer-to-peer software, gaming, Web cams, or other programs requiring high levels of network resources?
Students are discouraged from using bandwidth excessively in order not to slow down the network for other students, but normal network use is not restricted.
3. Is there a campus code of behavior about using computer resources?
You are expected to be familiar and compliant with the campus Acceptable Use Policy, which can be seen at manuals.ucdavis.edu/ppm/310/310-23.htm.
4. Does the campus have policies addressing peer-to-peer file sharing, virus software, and copyright?
